J&K | “Indian Army has been continuing relentless operations in the past three months under operation Trinetra. On 16th July input was received about the movement of unidentified persons in the Sindhara area of Poonch Accordingly, the area was cordoned off and on 17th July specific intelligence regarding the presence of armed terrorists near the Sindhara area of Poonch was received,” says Brigadier MP Singh after four terrorists were killed in a joint operation

“Based on this an operation was launched by the Indian Army with a special operation group of J&K police. The cordon search of the same area was carried out. The troops commenced their search, and four terrorists who took shelter in the forest opened indiscriminate fire. Their fire was promptly retaliated and the terrorists were pinned down in the general area…The terrorist making use of terrain, forest foliage and inclement weather kept opening fire on our troops to break the cordon…The firing between the troops and the terrorist continued till 5:30 in the morning,” says Brigadier MP Singh
