Three Pak militants killed as troops foil infiltration bid in Uri sector

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 26: Three Pakistani terrorists were killed as alert Indian troops foiled an infiltration attempt from across the Line of Contril in Kashmir’s Uri sector.

Pointing out that the terrorists tried to sneak into Indian side near Madiyan Nanak post in the Kamalkote area of Uri sector on Thursday morning, Srinagar-based Defence PRO, Col Emron Musavi said they were detected by electronic surveillance gadgets after specific intelligence inputs were received.

“The contact with the terrorists was established at about 8.45 am on August 25 in the forward areas of the Indian side of the LoC, leading to heavy exchange of fire in which the terrorists were killed,” Col Musavi said.
