One killed in shoot-out in Rajouri

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 5: In a firing incident in village Targain in Budhal tehsil of Rajouri district, one Karamt Shah S/o Ali Akbar Shah, was shot dead by some unidentified people at his residence during wee hours of Saturday.

The 26-year old deceased was a labourer and he was asleep in his house when someone fired at him from outside the window of his room around 4.30 am. He sustained two bullet wounds apparently fired from a pistol, sources said.

In another firing incident in the same village, some people opened fire at the house of Nabi Shah S/o Yaseen Shah. The bullet appeared to have been fired from a gun like .303 as the bullet pierced through the doors of two rooms had struck in the wall.

Nabi Shah and his family remained unhurt.

Police parties have reached on spot and a FIR has been registered and investigation taken up.
