F’rari ki Giraftari count touches 121: SSP Reasi
REASI, DECEMBER 18: After achieving a milestone of arresting 100 plus absconding criminals in seven months F’RARI Ki GIRAFTARI, a drive against underground criminals and absconders continue in district Reasi. In another round of chase, raids and searches 19 more absconding criminals evading arrests since years traced and arrested by teams of district police Reasi.
With these arrests 16 General Warrants of Arrests which were issued by Courts from time to time are executed. The details are as follows:
Jammat Khan: A resident of Kanjli in Reasi tehsil, he was arrested by a team of Reasi police after 20 years. He was absconding in case FIR No.107/2001 U/S 354 RPC of Police Station Katra after the case got proved against him during the investigation. A general warrant of arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on August 25, 2003.
Manzoor Ahmed: A resident of Kot Chadwal of Kotrenka tehsil in Rajouri, he evaded trial proceedings of a proven case FIR no. 48/1997 U/S 323, 324, 147 RPC of Police Station Mahore is arrested by team of Reasi Police from Kotranka Rajouri after 24 years of commission of crime. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Mahore on June 2, 1999.
Abid Husain: A resident of Thanole in Reasi district’s Thakrakote tehsil, a general warrant of arrest was issued against him by First Class Judicial Magistrate, Mahore on September 25, 2021. Wanted in case FIR no.78/2014 U/S 447, 336, 379, 147, 34, 201 RPC of Police Station Arnas, he got arrested by team of Reasi Police after developing a specific information.
Gulzar Ahmed: A resident of Kot Chadwal in Kotranka tehsil of Rajouri district, he was arrested by a team of Reasi Police after 24 years in a case FIR no 48/1997 U/S 323, 324, 147 RPC Police Station Mahore. To avoid conviction, the accused jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by JMIC Mahore on June 2, 1999.
Narinder Singh: A resident of Garnai Lota in Udhampur district, he was arrested 14 years after the commission of an offence registered under provisions of Excise Act at Police Station Katra. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and evaded arrests for the last eight years and a General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on September 12, 2013
Bablu: A resident of Bhagta in Katra, he was wanted in case FIR No 07/2016 registered under provisions of 48(a) Excise Act of Police station Katra. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on June 9, 2018
Ashwani Kumar: He was wanted in case FIR No 65/2015 U/S 341, 323, 34 RPC of Police Station Katra six years ago. A resident of Sarna Nomai near Katra, he was arrested by team of Reasi Police as a General Warrant of Arrest was issued by court of JMIC Katra on September 27, 2018
Krishan Singh: A resident of Lander Panchari, Udhampur was arrested from Panchari by a team of Reasi Police after 12 years of the commission of crime. Wanted in case FIR no. 46/2009 U/S 48(a) Excise Act of Police station Katra, the accused evaded trial proceedings of the proven case to avoid conviction. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by court of JMIC Katra on November 7, 2009.
Kuldeep Singh: He was wanted in a theft case (FIR no. 81/2006) registered at Katra police station. A resident of Jajjhar Kotli in Jammu district, he had jumped trial proceedings following the issuance of a general warrant of arrest against him by he JMIC Reasi on February 4, 2010.
Om Parkash: A resident of Rah Salyote in Sunderbani, he was arrested from Poonch district after 18 years of the commission of crime. He was wanted in case FIR no 143/ 1998 U/S 48(a) Excise Act registered at Katra Police Station. To avoid conviction, the accused jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by JMIC Katra on July 8, 2003.
Iqbal, Gul & Gulam Nabi @ Kachru: Residents of Kote chalwal tehsil Koteranka Budhal in Rajouri, they were wanted in Case FIR No. 48/1997 U/S 323, 324, 147 RPC Police Station Mahore. To avoid conviction, they had jumped trial proceedings and went underground. A general warrant of arrest was issued against him by JMIC Mahore on June 2, 1999. They were arrested by Reasi police 22 years after the commission of crime.
Mohd Ashraf: A resident of Mogla in Kalakote tehsil was wanted in a case FIR No.88/2013 U/S 279, 337, 338, 304A RPC at Police Station Katra. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by JMIC Katra on September 5, 2018.
Romesh Lal: Wanted in a case (FIR No 140/15 U/S 420, 471, 201 RPC) registered at Katra Police Station, this resident of Larr in Ramnagar tehsil of Udhampur district was arrested by Reasi Police six years after the commission of crime. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon’ble Court of JMIC Katra on May 7, 2018.
Mohd Tariq: A resident of Budhal in Rajouri district, he was wanted in a case (FIR No 54/2014 U/S 279, 337, 188 ROC 3 PCA Act) registered at Arnas Police Station. A general warrant of arrest was issued against him by JMIC Mahore September 1, 2015.
Rajinder Singh: Wanted in a case (FIR No 35/1999 U/S 32 T.T. Act) registered at Katra Police Station, he was arrested by a party of Reasi police from his native Laman Bhajwal village in Sundarbani tehsil of Rajouri district. A General Warrant of Arrest was issused against him by JMIC Reasi on March 29, 2000, after he jumped trial proceedings.
Beer Singh: A resident of Parthal, Katra in Reasi district, he was wanted in case FIR No 53/2016 US 48(a) Excise Act registered at Katra Police Station. He was arrested by team of Reasi Police after developing a specific information. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by JMIC Katra on August 19, 2019.
Javed Ahmed: A resident of Jamaslan Mahore absconding in case FIR no 160/2016 U/S 380, 403, 201 RPC of police station Katra. He was arrested by Reasi Police from Bari Brahmna in Samba district. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by JMIC Katra.
“F’RARI KI GRIFTARI” a national level recognized among best practices of police initiative by Reasi district for arresting the criminals who are evading arrests since years. Under this drive Reasi Police remained successful in nabbing hardcore, notorious and habitual criminals who were evading the due process of law for years and against whom General Warrants of Arrest were issued by Courts were pending execution. Till now around 121 absconding criminals arrested under this drive and a number of other surrendered before courts due to pressure built by teams of Reasi Police.
Shailender Singh SSP Reasi said that arrests of these criminals is important police work to maintain peace and tranquility in the area and Police will leave no stone unturned to arrest and produce them in concerned trial courts of law.
