DGP inaugurates Jammu Bike Fest; says youth is future, hope of nation

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 27: Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police here on Saturday said that Pakistan in its continuous attempts to disturb peace and harmony in the Union Territory was using drugs as a source to lure youth in anti-national activities and ruin their lives.

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the Jammu Bike Fest here, he said the drug menace is creating havoc in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite seizure of huge consignments, drugs remain a threat and challenge, he said and appealed to the people especially parents to come forward and support police in combating the drug menace.  He advised the youth to utilize their energy in the positive direction.

DGP said that Police and security forces are working hard to finish the terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir so that people live a peaceful life. Regarding COVID he said that the threat is not over yet and people should remain careful and act with responsibility, following all the COVID protocols and not disobey government directives on social gathering and social distancing.

At the inauguration of the Fest, DGP said “our youth is our future and hope of nation and they have to act as responsible and careful citizens’’. He was chief guest at the function which was organised by Big FM and associate partners at Bahu Plaza.
