Katra: Indian cricket team member Shikhar Dhawan on Wednesday reached Katra, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi along with his teammates and after resting for some time proceeded to Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine in Trikuta Hills for Darshan.
Popularly known as Gabbar, Shikhar Dhawan arrived in Katra with his teammates spent some time in a hotel where tea breakfast was arranged for them. A large number of police personnel including local police officials were present during the meeting.
As soon as the news of Gabbar’s arrival spread in the town, his fans gathered outside the hotel to pay their obeisment. However, a lot of arrangements were made for their safety during this period. After spending some time, Shikhar Dhawan left for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan.
Earlier, talking to reporters, he said, “I am very fortunate that Jagat Janani Maa Vaishno Devi has called me to attend her feet. After many years, I had this privilege and i am walking towards the building to attend the feet of Mother Vaishno Devi. Explosive batsman Shikhar Dhawan, the shining star of the Indian cricket team, left the base camp Katra at around 2.30 pm on Wednesday with his colleagues to attend the feet of Mother Vaishno Devi.
Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan along with his wife and colleagues stayed at a private hotel in Katra on Wednesday morning and left on foot towards Maa Vaishno Devi Bhawan around 2.30 pm after resting there.
Talking to reporters, Shikhar Dhawan said that he is very lucky to be invited by Mother Vaishno Devi to attend her feet. Though there was a desire to attend the feet of Mother Vaishno Devi for many years, there was no mother’s call. Finally, the mother’s call came and I have come running. Shikhar Dhawan said that Mother Vaishno Devi has fulfilled all her mind and i am going to recite some mann ki murada to mother Vaishno Devi so I am walking my Vaishno Devi yatra.
Dressed in a black mask with a white T-shirt, he left for the building, following the Covid-19 orders completely. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan along with his wife and colleagues will reportedly rest at Maa Vaishno Devi Bhawan on Wednesday night and will attend the Divya Aarti to be held by Mother Vaishno Devi in the wee hours of Veerwar and then attend the feet of Mother Vaishno Devi. Shikhar Dhawan will return to The Base Camp Katra in the afternoon and leave for Jammu.
