LG Manoj Sinha expresses anguish over targeting of political leader
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party’s zonal president Ghulam Hassan Lone was killed by terrorists on Thursday at his house at Devsar in Kulgam district.
Lone was immediately shifted to the hospital where he was declared dead.
He had joined Apni Party after quitting PDP four months ago. The Apni Party leader’s killing came two days after terrorists gunned down a BJP leader Javeed Ahmad Dar at Brazloo Jageer area of Kulgam.
UT’s Lt Governor Manoj Sinha expressed anguish over the killing of Lone in terror attack. “I strongly condemn this cowardly attack. Perpetrators of this heinous act will be brought to justice very soon. My prayers & thoughts with bereaved family in this time of grief,’’ he said.
Omar Abdullah and Mehabooba Mufti, former chief ministers of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State, condemned the assassination.
