Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg along with Abhay Kumar, State Informatics Officer, J&K, on Tuesday launched four revenue certificate services fir issuance of. SC/ST Certificates, Legal Heir Certificate and Dependent Certificate to the people.
Initially the services have been started in Jammu Tehsil and would be extended to the entire District in next few days.
The services have been developed in pursuance to directions of Lieutenant Governor J&K, for enhancing service delivery through digital mode.
With the launch of this service, the Citizens, without any geographical restrictions, can apply Online for any of the certificate and digitally signed documents shall be issued online to them. The service has been designed and developed using a very generic service plus framework of NIC, which is being adopted in multiple states as well as UTs of the country.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that this service can be availed by Individuals by registering on portal https://serviceonline.gov.in/jammu and then filling up an online application form for the desired service along with all requisite documents. Thereafter, the application will land with the concerned Tehsildar and the application shall be processed as per procedure.
Once approved, the digitally signed certificate will be sent to the email address of the applicant and can be downloaded by him.
The system also facilitates the applicant to check online status of the application any time and also download digitally issued documents on the click of a button. A unique URL along with QR code is also generated on each document to ascertain the genuineness of the certificate.
State Informatics Officer, Abhay Kumar assured the administration of all support from NIC for bringing more and more services into online mode. He also expressed his gratitude for trusting NIC as a technology partner for online service delivery. He also informed that this generic service can easily be replicated to the entire J&K UT.
Among others who were present during the launch ceremony, were Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Chander; Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganshyam Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Satish Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Nazool, Jasmeet Singh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Vijay Sharma and Tehsildar Jammu Kamal Preet Singh.
The Sub–Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars joined the launch through Virtual Mode.
Adesh Chand Gupta, Scientist-‘F’ (HOD Service Plus), Rakesh Gupta, Scientist-‘F’, NIC J&K, Sanjay Gupta, Scientist-‘E’ and DIO NIC Jammu, Amit Sharma, Consultant, E&Y, Resource person Nervy Kanchan Singh were also part of the launch ceremony.
Adesh Chand Gupta, Scientist-‘F’ and Sanjay Gupta Scientist-‘E’ & DIO Jammu explained the service plus framework model in detail and its benefits, to all the participants.
It was informed that with the help of service plus framework, citizen services can be built with minimum time as the framework has been built on Low Cost No Code model.
Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of NIC J&K and NIC New Delhi Service Plus team for their rigorous efforts in designing and developing these services and finally making them available for the general public. He also informed that more such services shall also be brought under the ambit of service plus framework for facilitating public at large for online service delivery.
