IIM Jammu and The UK’s Liverpool John Moores University sign agreement for academic exchange

Jammu: Indian Institute of Management, Jammu, and The Liverpool John Moores University UK have signed an agreement to develop academic exchanges for students and faculty members and channel research collaborations.

The senior representatives of both institutions, Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director IIM Jammu, and Prof Ian G. Campbell, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of Liverpool John Moores University signed off the agreement. Professor Jabir Ali, and Dr. Aakash Kamble from IIM Jammu, and David Bryde, Director of Research & Knowledge Transfer in Liverpool Business School; Prof. Rameshwar Dubey, Reader-Operations Management at Liverpool Business School and Ms. Alison Topping, International Partnerships Manager at Liverpool John Moores University played an instrumental role in negotiating the terms of the agreement.

The agreement paves a roadmap for both institutions to partner in strategic initiatives, academics, research, and executive education and builds synergies. The strategic models of engagement have been identified to form the basis of the association.

They will focus on student exchange for the MBA Programme and the 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) with faculty exchanges and doctoral research scholar exchange between the partners. The faculty members at both institutions will also partner for research collaborations and joint research projects.

The partnership provides alternative learning experiences and helpspropagate ideas among the institutions. The partnership will provide an opportunity to collaborate with world-class teachers and researchers and expand global research. It will also help students gain international experience that will benefit them in their future careers.
