ACB file chargesheet against retired SDM, Patwari among 5 in illegal mutation of land records

Jammu: Anti Corruption Bureau on Monday filed chargesheet in the court of Special Judge Anti Corruption against five people including a retired Sub Dub Divisional Magistrate and a Patwari on charges of illegal mutation of land situated at Jammu district’s village Deeli.

The accused included retired Sub Divisional Magistrate, Paramvir Singh, Inderjeet Singh, Mohinder Paul Singh and Shabir Ahmed Gorsi,  then Incharge Patwari Halqa Chack Lala, Jammu holding the charge of Patwari Halqa Deeli, Jammu

The case was registered against them following an enquiry into a complaint by 

Rajinder Singh, Beant Singh and Harcharan Singh, all sons of late Mian Singh of Dasmesh Nagar Digiana, Jammu, alleging that their father namely Mian Singh, who died on August 9, 199809.08.1998, was having occupancy rights with respect to land measuring 10 marlas falling under khasra No. 905 min, khata No. 266, khewat No. 235, situated at village Deeli Tehsil & District Jammu. 

With respect to the said piece of land, a fake and fraudulent fard-e-Intakhab stood issued by the then Patwari in 2012 to someone else who impersonated as the complainant’s father late Mian Singh. The said person, in league with the Patwari later transferred the ownership of the said land to Sheraan Khan and Rajni Bala Mehta. Paramvir Singh and Mahinder Pal Singh acted as witnesses to the sale deed.

The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for July 7 this year.
