Names of UT’s Financial Commissioner Finance Arun K Mehta or P K Tripathi, Union Steel Secy doing round for new J&K Chief Secy

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam was on Thursday appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the  Commerce Department of the Union Commerce Ministry.

An order issued by Srinivas R Katikithala, Secretary Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and Establishment Officer, said that the ACC has also approved his appointment as Union Commerce Secretary, Department of Commerce, upon superannuation of Anup Wadhawan, a 1985 batch IAS officer, on June 30, 2021.

Meanwhile sources said that the new J&K Chief Secretary is likely to be UT’s Finanicial Commissioner (Finance) Arun Kunar Mehta or P K Tripathi, Steel Secretary at the Centre.

JKPOST has on Wednesday written that as part of major reshuffle in the UT administration, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam is being moved to the Centre.
