Terrorists kill three BJP workers in Kashmir

Srinagar, October 29: Three BJP activists were on Thursday evening killed in terror attack in at Y K Pora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Identifying them as Fida Hussain Yatoo of Y K Pora, Kulgam district Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha general secretary, besides Umar Rashid Beigh of Sophat Devsar and Umer Ramzan Hajam of Y K Pora, both BJP workers, sources said that they were rushed to hospital at Qazigund where doctors declared them as brought dead.

The security forces and police have cordoned off the area and launched searches to track the killers. Police have registered a case in the matter.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has strongly condemned the killings of political workers who were shot dead by the militants in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Expressing his anguish over the killings, he said that the perpetrators of violence are the enemies of humanity and such cowardly acts cannot be justified.

Law shall take its course and the guilty shall be dealt with sternly, he added. The Lt Governor assured all the possible help from the government to the bereaved families. He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to them and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
