Srinagar-Kargil highway closed following cloudburst in Ganderbal

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 4: The Srinagar-Kargil road was closed for vehicular traffic on Sunday morning following cloudburst in Ganderbal district of Kashmir Valley.

Sources said that mudslides caused by cloudburst caused huge damage to property including roads, houses, vehicles.and crops.

Locals reported that the cloud bursts occurred in the villages of Kawcharwan, Cherwa, and Padabal, triggering mudslides that have blocked the Srinagar National Highway, a crucial route for the region.
