Two soldiers injured in encounter with terrorists in Doda’s Kashtigarh area

JAMMU, JULY 18: Two Army personnel were injured in a fresh encounter between security forces and terrorists during wee hours of Thursday in Kashtigarh area’s  Upper Desa Bhatta forests of  Dida district in Jammu and Kashmir.

While a senior Army officer confirmed the fresh encounter saying that operation was in progress, sources said that two soldiers were injured and they have been referred to the Doda Government Medical College Hospital. 

The exchange of fire between the two sides followed when terrorists attacked a party of the security forces camping near a government school building in the area around mid.night. The exchange of fire continued till 4 am and thereafter terrorists fled from the spot.

The security forces have launched massive combing and search operations in Desa forests after terrorists attacked security forces on Monday killing four soldiers including an Army captain.
