Jammu: Twitter Inc on Monday evening restored the official twitter handle of the Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, nearly an hour it was suspended by the former.
LG’s official Twitter handle “@OfficeOfLGJandK’’ when accessed in the evening around 6.02 pm reflected “Accound suspended’’ with an attached response “Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules’’.
While there had been no official reaction from the office of LG, sources said that the office of LG had a few minutes before the suspension of Twitter handle, uploaded a video of the LG appealing people to stringently adhere to Corona curfew guidelines and follow all Covid protocols to stay healthy and safe.
Meanwhile, sources in the Raj Bhawan said that suspension has been due to some technical issue. The matter has been taken up and the handle will be restored soon, they added.
Around 7.20 pm, the twitter handle was restored by Twitter Inc.
