JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 26: The State Investigation Agency on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches at the premises of four alleged over ground workers of militants at different places in Udhampur and Jammu districts.
Sources said that the search parties seized some electronic gadgets including mobile phones and SIM cards.
The searches were carried out on the basis of intelligence inputs that OGWs in both these areas were using different social media Apps including WhatsApp for calling and passing on vital information to Pakistan based militants and their handlers.
For carrying out searches, it obtained warrant from the court in case FIR No .2/2022 registered under section 13,18,19,21,23,38,39,40 of UAPA.
The alleged OGWs whose premises were searched in Basantgarh included Nazir Ahmed, Mohammad Rafiq and Altaf Hussain.
The SIA also conducted searches at the premises of Mohammed Iqbal in Jammu’s Sunjwan area. The searches were conducted in presence of executive gv magistrate and with active participation of police in Udhampur and Jammu district.
