JAMMU, AUGUST 3: Local residents in Pir Mitha area of old Jammu city on Thursday held a demonstration against the installation of smart meters by the Power Development Department.

They alleged that the smart meters were recording number of electricity units in excess of their actual consumption by the consumers.
The demonstrators also demanded the UT administration to waive off the arrears of electricity tariff.
