JAMMU, JANUARY 1: Three civilians were killed and seven others injured in firing apparently carried out by militant at Dangri near Rajouri town on late Sunday evening, the first day of 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Additional Director General of Police, Jammu, Mukesh Singh, said that the “incident happened at Upper Dangri village’’. “The firing took place at three houses separated at a distance of around 50 meters from each other,’’ he said, adding search operation has been launched in the area and details will follow.
deceased have been identified as Deepak Kumar (23), Satish Kumar (45) and Pritam Lal (56).
The injured include Shiv Pal, Pawan Kumar, Rohit Pandit, Saroj Bala, Sushil Kumar, Shub Sharma and Urishi Sharma, all in the age group of 17-40 years.
