Jammu and Kashmir | Celebration of 7th National Ayurveda Day and Dhanwantari Jayanti at District Ayush office Kathua

KATHUA: On the occasion of 7thNational Ayurveda  Day 2022 and Dhanvantari Jayanti, District Ayush Office Kathua under the direction of Director Ayush J&K Dr. Mohan Singh and Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey  celebrated 7thNational Ayurveda Day 2022 in Collaboration with District Administration Kathua on 23-10-2022.

The program started with ritual hawan and floral tributes to Lord Dhanvantri followed by lightening of lamp and Dhanvantri  Vandana.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Dr. Y.N Dogra (Ex-Registrar Board of Ayurveda Unani and Homopathy) and Guest of honour Dr. C.R Munday (Rtd. Deputy Director ISM)   said that Ayurveda is perceived as one of the most ancient and well documented system of medicine equally relevant in modern times and its holistic approach whether for healthy individuals or diseased ones remains unparalleled.

Prevention of disease and promotion of health is the main aim of Ayurveda. They appreciated the work done by the staff of AYUSH Department Kathua.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ajay Kumar Tikoo DAO Kathua welcomed the dignitaries and said that Ayurveda has gained name and fame all across the world and one should imperatively adopt Ayurveda to remain healthy, fit and live longer.

He informed that the various Ayush institutions of District Kathua have been organizing different activites under the theme of Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda like School Health Checkup/Ayush Medicine Distribution cum awareness camps in the catchment area of respective institutions.

The function was attended by Medical Officers and Para Medical Staff of Ayush Department Kathua wherein the Chief Guest, Guest of Honours and staff members were felicitated by the District Ayush Officer Kathua.
At the end vote of thanks was presented by District Ayush Officer Kathua Dr. Ajay Kumar Tikoo which was followed by distribution of Prasad and lunch to all the participants.
