Eye witnesses said that Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, R K Shavan accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner Revenue reached the police station around 7.10 pm, but they were not allowed to enter the premises even after waiting for more than an hour.
“The Deputy Commissioner’s cavalcade remained stationed outside Rajouri police station for more than an hour for unknown reasons,” the eye witnesses said.
They further said that after almost an hour, Additional SP Rajouri reached on spot and got the gates opened. However, the Deputy Commissioner took a U turn from inside the police station and returned immediately.
Sources said that Station House Officer Rajouri was not present inside the station when DC reached there while as Superintendent of Police was also on leave.
