Skill workshop for Military Nursing Staff held at Command Hospital in Udhampur

Udhampur: Since the time of inception, Military Nursing Service has been serving the Defence service personnel both in time of war, peace and natural calamities. MNS Officers are playing a pivotal role in the care of sick Defence service personnel and their families across the length and breadth of our country where they are serving alongside troops.

With the advances in medical research, innovation and technology, MNS Officers have to keep pace with these advances and adapt to these best practices for delivery of quality nursing care to the clientele.

Nursing Officers of Command Hospital (Northern Command) are celebrating 96th MNS Raising Day on 01 Oct 2021. To commemorate this occasion, the hospital has conducted a series of academic activities for MNS Officers. The week long events commenced on 16 Sep 2021 with Hands on Skill Workshops on Advanced Nursing Procedures in critical care settings and nursing clinics on Heat Exhaustion, Snake Bite and Tetanus.

Maj Gen AK Jindal, YSM, Commandant, Command Hospital (Northern Command) inaugurated the skill stations and addressed the delegates. Brig Amita Rani, Brig MNS, Headquarters Northern Command lighted the e-lamp of knowledge to start the academic activities for the week. The academic activities were conducted with lot of zeal and zest and the scientific sessions were very educative and informative.
