Alert trooops thwart drone activity by opening fire at the flying objects
Jammu: Two separate Drone activities were spotted over Ratnuchak- Kaluchak Military area by alert troops on Sunday night.
Confirming this, an army spokesman Lt Colonel Devender Anand said “a major threat was thwarted by the alertness and proactive approach of troops”. “The security forces are on high alert and search operation is in progress, he added.
This came barely a few hours after two explosive devices, in the first ever terror attack of its kind in India, were dropped by drones at Air Forces Station in Jammu on Saturday night. While one explosive device fell on a building creating a Carter in the roof and another exploded in an open area.
However, there had been no damage to any equipment. However, two persons had sustained minor injuries.
