JAMMU, JULY 23: Alert Army troops during wee hours of Tuesday foiled an infiltration by by a group of heavily armed terrorists from across the Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district’s Krishna Ghati area of Jammu and Kashmir.
However, a soldier was killed in the exchange of fire with the infiltrating terrorists.

The Jammu based Army PRO Lt Colonel Suneel Bartwal said “Alert troops foiled an #infiltration bid by effectively engaging infiltrating #terrorists with effective fire in the #Battal Sector at 0300h”.
During the exchange of heavy fire, one braveheart has been injured, he said, adding that operations are continuing.
Sources said the injured soldier later succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
