SRINAGAR, JUNE 17: One militant was reportedly killed after an encounter broke out on Monday between militants and security forces in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
This came during cordon and search operation launched by the security forces in Aragam area of Bandipora district late on Sunday night following information about presence of militants there, sources said said.
They said a fire fight broke out as the terrorists opened fire on security forces. “One body has been spotted at the scene of encounter while searches are on to look for more terrorists in the area,” they said.
