Mock drill at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Camp for Amarnath pilgrims
JAMMU, JUNE 17: In response to the prevailing security scenario in the region, a detailed security assessment and review was conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police at Wave Mall here on Sunday evening.
The review, led by SP City South Jammu, along with SDPO City East, SHO Bahu Fort, and IC PP Narwal, focused on perimeter security, parking area management, floor security, access control, crowd management, crowd evacuation, and the effectiveness of the Mall’s security personnel.
The extensive security evaluation, conducted from 1615 hrs to 1920 hrs, included participation from all floor managers, the GM of Wave Mall, the head of security, CCTV monitoring incharge, parking incharge, fire safety incharge, and incharge of electric equipment and fittings. Key aspects such as briefing all staff, including cinema staff, and assessing the functioning of the PA system and fire safety measures were meticulously reviewed.
Following the assessment, an interaction with the public present in the Mall was held. The proactive action by Jammu Police, under the command of SSP Jammu received widespread appreciation from the community.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a Mock Drill Exercise at Base Camp Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar here.
During the drill, the first responder team of Sub Division Hqrs which includes all territorial officers of Sub Division Hqrs participated.
Moreover, SOG Jammu and other territorial Police officers of adjoining Sub Divisions along with their QRT teams also participated and Mock Drill Exercise was completed successfully. The Mock Drill exercise was supervised by SP City North Jammu on the ground under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu. The objective of the Mock Drill Exercise is to give practical training to the entire team to face the real time based operation in case any untoward incident took place.
