While addressing the media, the DGP said that it is a well known fact that the prevailing challenges are backed & sponsored from across the border, as the wicked forces seek to maintain their foothold in the region and the recent terror incidents are desperate attempts of terror handlers to maintain their sources of illicit business.

He said that for over a decade, these nefarious elements have attempted numerous times to re-establish their sinister structure along the border areas adding that the number of active terrorists are very low yet they remain a persistent threat as their only aim is to harm people of J&K whatever way possible. However, our strategic and tactical approach is to minimize the impact of their nefarious actions and ultimately put an end to terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that we have clear direction from the Central & UT Governments to further strengthen the anti-terror grid and to eradicate terrorism from the region of Jammu and Kashmir. The DGP reiterated that anyone found to be supporting or collaborating with these terrorist groups will face strict and severe consequences.
