Security forces seize arms, ammunition in Reasi forests

REASI, MAY 12: Security forces on Sunday claimed to have recovered some explosive devices besides arms and ammunition in the forest area of Resai district officials said. 

Official sources said that Army’s 58 RR found sensitive explosive devices and arms and ammunition at Gen. Kot Budhan forest area in Resia district.

The official, while giving details of the recoveries, said the items included IEDs with electric detonators – 9, Pistols – 3, Magazines – 3, Pistol Rounds – 20, Explosives (Powder Type) – Approximately 1 Kg, AK-47 Rounds – 15, AK-47 Fired Casings – 6, 9 Volt DC Batteries – 8, Lithium-Ion 12 Volt Batteries – 3, Electric Wire (Approximately 50 meters) – 3 Bundles, AA Batteries (1.2 V) – 10, Large Magnets – 6, Explosive Safety Fuses – 7, Blankets – 1, Dressing Bandages – 3, Syringes with Needles – 2, Rope (8 meters) – 1, Cigarettes – 2 Packets.

They said that this successful operation is a testament to the security forces’ vigilance and commitment to safeguarding the nation against any potential threats.
