Jammu and Kashmir | DIG DKR reviews preparation of Doda, Kishtwar & Ramban districts in view of the inclement weather
Batote : In view of the inclement weather, heavy rainfall, snowfall in the three districts Doda, Kishtwar & Ramban of the Range, today Shridhar Patil-IPS, DIG DKR Range held a meeting with all SSsP, Supervisory Officers, IC SDRF units and IC PCRs of the range regarding preparedness and other efforts implemented by them.
Emphasizing proactive measures, the DIG Range urged all the officers for their personal intervention and to keep their men and available sources in a state of readiness to tackle with any situation arising from inclement weather conditions and ensure prompt action. He also directed all the officers to keep in close contact with other stakeholders and various departments including PWD, Medical Department, Beacon, NHAI etc. to mitigate potential disruptions caused by heavy rains and snowfall.
During the meeting, the DIG of Police directed officers and control rooms (PCRs) of every district for prompt response of the highest level. Directions to maintain and share the emergency helpline numbers of all the police/civil administrations officers and other emergency services placed in areas in shape of directory to tackle the situation so that the public can call on these numbers frequently for necessary help. Further, I/C PCRs were directed that all the distressed calls received so for be shared with the territorial officers for quick response. General public be got aware through announcements also regarding avoiding of movement towards vulnerable areas.
