Jammu: Iftkhar Ahmed, who hails from Rajouri has been appointed as youngest State General Secretary ,Pradesh Congress committee J&K
The appointment was made by K C Venogopal (MP ) General secretary AICC , Incharge Organisation with the approval of sh Mallikarjun Kharge , President AICC .
He is also member AICC and also remained as APRO AICC incharge Manipur
Earlier Iftkhar was National Spokesperson ,Indian youth congress and National Co-ordinator IYC and remained incharge of so many state
He also remained as All India Election Commissioner of NSUI and remained in-charge of 26 states during internal organisational elections.
Iftkhar is the son of Late haji Mohd Ashraf and Farzand begum and belongs to non- political family and started his career as college president NSUI Rajouri and then gradually elevated as State general secretary and Vice President NSUI.
He also remained as National Convenor, Rajiv Gandhi panchayati Raj Sangathan of AICC and incharge UP
He was receipent of Vice Chancellor Award and state youth award which was presented by Ministry of youth affairs and sports Government of India for his social services.
