First Agniveer dies of bullet injury on LoC in Poonch

JAMMU, OCTOBER 11: An Agniveer reportedly died after sustaining a bullet injury at a forward Indian position along the Line of Control in Poonch district’s Mankote sector on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Amritpal Singh. He was recently deployed on the border following his six months training. Details are awaited.

Ever since the Central Government approved the Agniveer scheme for recruitment of Agniveers for a period of Four years including six months training, he happens to be the first Agniveer to have died of a bullet injury on the border.
