Srinagar: As a mark of respect and acknowledgement of supreme sacrifices of JKP martyrs the administration of UT J&K has announced the naming of 17 schools across J&K after the name of martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir Police Pariwar among the total 30 schools and a road as per the order.
17 JKP martyrs after whom different schools were named includes In district Budgam Martyr Abdul Aziz Dar, SI, Martyr Chand Mohammad Khan, Ct., In district Kupwara Martyr Amanullah Khan, SI, Martyr Amir Hussain Lone, SgCt, Martyr Ghulam Mohiudin, Ct, Martyr Gulzar Ahmad Shah, Ct., Martyr Kafeel Ahmad Mir, ASI, Martyr Abdul Rashid Malik, Inspector, In district Kulgam Martyr Mohammad Yaqoob Shah, SgCt. In Bandipora district Martyr Abdul Khaliq Bhat, HC. In Ganderbal district Martyr Gh. Mohidin Sheikh, Ct., In Anantnag Martyr Rashid Shah, ASI. In Pulwama district Martyr Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Inspector, Martyr Feroz Ahmad Dar, SI. In Poonch district Martyr Mohd Mushtaq Malik, SgCt. In Jammu district Martyr Kuldeep Kumar, SgCt., Martyr Mohan Lal Sharma, ASI, a police spokesman said.
Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to Government of India, Lt. Governor Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha and his administration for naming the government schools and roads in Jammu and Kashmir after the martyred J&K police personnel and SF personnel.
The DGP said such a wonderful initiative by the government would immortalise the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives while protecting sovereignty and integrity of the Nation. He said that naming the educational institutes after the martyrs is befitting tribute to JKP martyrs. He said that the nation is indebted to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and such acts would definitely serve as the everlasting tribute for the martyrs.
Pertinently, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order renaming 31 government schools across Jammu and Kashmir and a link road after the martyrs and eminent personalities
