Nowshera: Locals of lam and surrounding areas held a candle light march on Tuesday evening in
remembrance of the poonch attack martyrs as the air was filled with slogans in support of the
Indian Army.

The march started from lam village and culminated at Ambedkar chowk
epitomising the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers who were transporting essentials for the
forthcoming Eid-Ul-Fitar celebrations.

The participants condemned the cowardly act on the
army truck that was carrying rations for the Iftar of Eid-Ul-Fitar which was two days away
marking the end of fasting month of Ramzan. The villagers took part in the march with
complete gusto, raising slogans in praise of the Indian Army and paid tribute to the fallen
soldiers.

“We took this march to condemn the ghastly attack on truck carrying fruits for Iftar which itself
is cowardly and remember the fallen soldiers who lost their lives in the heinous act.

The attack
is an attack on humanity and we stand with Indian Army who has always works for peace,
prosperity, harmony and development of the area. These inimical elements do not want
development to take place and hence these spineless acts” said one of the marchers.
