Police nab two involved in theft of fake currency, narcotics from malkhana in Rajouri court complex

JAMMU, APRIL 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two people in connection with the theft of seized articles including heroin from the “malkhana’’ of the high security court complex in border Rajouri district.

Identifying the arrested burglars as Mohammad Showket of Poonch district Khadi Khalmara village and Mohammad Showket of Rajouri district’s Manjakote area, police said that four packets of heroine like substance and Rs 1 lakh in fake Indian currency and one mobile phone has been seized on disclosures of Mohammad Showket.

The investigations were in progress, police said, adding that a case of burglary was registered at Rajouri police station after some unidentified persons had broken in to the “malkhana’’ and decamped with articles seized by police in respect of some criminal cases.
