DC Jammu asks people without `valid’ license to deposit weapons with police station concerned

JAMMU, APRIL 2: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Avny Lavasa has asked people who do not possess a valid license to deposit their fire arms in concerned police stations within a period of ten days.

Pointing out that this was last opportunity to do so and action warranted under law shall be initiated against the defaulter thereafter, she a notice issued by her indicate that these licenses include the ones which are not uploaded on NDAL-ALIS portal, or did not have a UIN, or were issued by SDMs/Tehsildars, or were not renewed due to whatsoever reason.
