JAMMU, JANUARY 8: The Indian Army on Saturday evening foiled a major infiltration bid and killed two militants in Balakote area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

Giving details, an Army PRO lt Colonel Devender Anand here said that the alert troops around 7.45 pm deployed along the Line of Control observed suspicious movement ahead of the border fence. They opened fire fire neutralising two militants, he added.
The area has been cordoned off and the operation is in progress, he said, adding that operations by security forces to nab militants involved in Dangri attack are in progress in both Rajouri and Poonch districts.
