Army claim that duo were killed by terrorists
JAMMU, DECEMBER 16: Two civilians were killed and another injured seriously as unidentified militants opened fire outside an Army camp at Rajouri on Friday morning.
Identified as Shalinder Kumar and Kamal Kishore, the deceased were residents of Rajouri, sources said, adding that they were working as porters inside the camp.
Army, however, claimed that they have been killed in firing by some
Unidentified terrorists.
“In an early morning firing incident by unidentified terrorists at Rajauri near Military Hospital, there has been fatal casualty of two individuals,” said White Knight Corps at its official Twitter handle. “The Police, security forces and civil administration officials are on the site,” it added.
The locals, however, alleged that they have been shot dead by an army sentry apparently due to
Mistaken identity, The incident took place around 6.15 am when it is usually dark due to winter these days, they added.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the area, with local people protesting outside the camp. Some people even resorted to stone pelting at the camp and blocked the road.
Senior police officers and civil administration have reached the spot and are asking people to maintain calm.
