SRINAGAR, JULY 25: The first-ever ‘Tiranga bikers rally’ from Ghanta Ghar at Lal Chowk to Kargil was flagged off  by National General Secretary of BJP Tarun Chugh  on Monday. At least 300 motorcyclists are participating in this rally. This rally will reach Kargil War Memorial on the occasion of Vijay Diwas.

The rally is being organized by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) under the leadership of BJYM National President and MP Tejasvi Surya, according to a Kashmir based news agency CNS.

The caravan of flag-bearing bikes was flagged off at Lal Chowk Srinagar, wherein Tarun Chugh was the chief guest. Surya had instructed all the attendees to bring soil from the front yard of the martyrs’ homes in their respective states, which shall be dedicated at the war memorial as a symbolic gesture of the immortality of the fallen and to honour their families.

Addressing the gathering, Chugh urged the people to get rid of Abdullah-Mufti duo’ who have been looting J&K for the last 70 years and deprived the region of development and progress.

Calling the people to vote for the BJP in the coming elections, he said it is time power should be taken away from the Abdullah-Mufti gang and given to the common man.

“The people should get rid of the Abdullah-Mufti duo who have been looting Jammu and Kashmir for the last 70 years and deprived the people of development and progress, Chugh asserted.

While addressing the gathering BJP’s J&K president, Ravinder Raina said that the Tiranga is “our identity and it belongs to everyone irrespective of religion, caste and creed.”

“Many people have sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. Many officers have also been killed for this tricolor,” he said.

“It is a matter of honour for BJYM to lead the first organizational program of BJP in Kashmir since the abrogation of article 370. BJYM’s historic Tiranga Yatra from Lal Chowk to Kargil on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas will deliver the message of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as BJYM Karyakartas from across India will join me in this yatra,” said Surya.
