Month long Samagam held at Chakkan DA Bagh Gurdwara

POONCH, JULY 3: A Gurmat Samagam was organised at Gurdwara Yadgaar Sant Bhai Bahadur Singh ji Dharamsal Kharhi on LOC near Chakan Da Bagh Trade centre.

SGPC Amritsar President, Senior Vice Presidents, Army Officers and Civil administration officers paid obeisance.

A memorandum on behalf of Sikh Sangat was also submitted to President SGPC Amritsar. Every year the management committe of Gurudwara Sant Bhai Bahadur Singh Ji organises a Mahan Gurmat Samagam which continues for more than 40 days and completes on Ist or 2nd Sunday of July . This year Samagam was dedicated to 400 Parkash Purb celebration of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.

In this one month long Samagam different programmes are organised by management committee fo different organisations and age groups . Two programmes for children, one programme for Sikh organisations such as Istri Satsang, Missionary College, All India Sikh Students Federation, Sikh youths . A Summer Gurmat Sikhlayi Camp of ten days for children and a medical camp is also organised every year in this Samagam . Raagi Jathas, preachers and Sikh Scholars from Poonch and outside UT, Amritsar Darbar Sahib also participates in this programme.

In today’s programme Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Devinder Singh ji from Darbar Sahib recited Shabad Gurbani keertan . S Harjinder Singh Dhami President Shromani Gurdwara Parbandhak committee Amritsar highest religious body of Sikhs was special invitee to the Samagam.

He addressed the Sangat and throw light on life history and sacrifices made by Guru Tegh Bahadur ji for religious tolerence and freedom of religious faith . He stressed the Sikh Sangat to follow the path shown by Sikh gurus and teachings of Guru Garanth Sahib ji .

S Rajinder Singh Mehta Vice President SGPC also addressed the sangat and urged sangat and youths to follow the teachings of great Gurus to serve humanity . S Charanjeet Singh Khalsa Ex MLC also addressed Sangat .

S Harcharn Singh Khalsa welcome the Sangat , President Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak comittee President Harjinder Singh Dhami, Rajinder Singh Mehta Senior Vice President and other Dignitaries who attended the Gurmat samagam and urged sangat to be united and follow the path shown by great gurus . He also thanked district administration for full cooperation during the samagam days.

Local parcharks, Raagi Jathas also recited Gurbani keertan and throw light on Sikh history, teachings of Guru sahibs and the sacrifice by Guru Tegh Bahadur ji for universal brotherhood and religious tolerence.
