BUNTY MAHAJAN
JAMMU, APRIL 3: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that the Kashmiri Pandits should take a resolve to settle in their homeland next year and they should resettle in a way that they are never uprooted in the future. The RSS chief also added that the film “The Kashmir Files” has not only presented plight of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, but shaken the nation as well.
Addressing members of the Kashmiri Pandit community via video conference on the last day of Navreh celebrations, Mohan Bhagwat said that “some are in support of this (The Kashmir Files), some are calling it half-truth… But common man of this nation is of the opinion that by presenting the devastating truth to the world, this film has not only presented pain of displaced Kashmiris, but shaken us as well,” Mohan Bhagwat said in a virtual conference today.
“We are facing the pain of being out of our homes while being in our country. It is going on for long. The first solution is not to lose our will to win and head back to our homes,” Mohan Bhagwat said in his address to the Kashmiri Pandits. “We have to be determined to move forward. We have courage, mind, and patience. All situations come and go. Situation test us and we add to our capabilities during testing times Today we are in such situation,” he further added.
The RSS chief went on to state that the country was in support of the community and added that they will be moving back to the valley soon. “We got out of the land but we have our Kashmir our land with us. We have entire India with us,” Bhagwat said. Pointing out that it is only a matter of time before Kashmiri Hindus return to their homeland, he said that “we will go to Kashmir now as a Hindu, as an Indian. We will settle there, and will never come back. We will settle in such a way that no exodus can take place,” the RSS chief added.
Also reiterating the moves made by the group for the community, Bhagwat said that the constant efforts put in by the people since 2011 led to the abrogation of Article 370. “I hail your efforts for return. I told you that 370 has to go and it is because of our efforts since 2011 that 370 is now gone,” the RSS chief said. He concluded his address to the community by adding that their return to their homeland was inevitable and urged them to stay strong to fight for their stand.
We’re (Kashmiri Pandits)bearing
brunt of getting displaced from our home in our own country for the last 3-4
decades. It’s imperative that we shouldn’t accept defeat in this situation
& face challenges: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat while addressing Kashmiri
Pandits in the three day Navreh (new year) celebrations.
Referring to his earlier address to them during Shivratri
in Delhi during 2011, the RSS chief said that “I then said that the issue of Kashmiri
Pandits will be solved through public awareness & hindrances such as Article
370 must be removed. After 2011, in these 11 years, due to our collective
efforts, there’s no Art.370,’’ Mohan Bhagwat added.
We left (Kashmir) because of extremism but when we’ll
return now, we’ll go back as Hindus and ‘BharatBhakt’ with an assurance of our
security and livelihood. We’ll live in a way that nobody will dare to displace
us: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
