JAMMU, APRIL 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained 12 Rohangiya nationals, who as members of the Tablighi Jamaat had been staying as religious preachers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district for the past few days.
Having come from Jammu, they were reportedly staying in Dar Mohalla Jamia Masjid near Sangaldaan area of Gool tehsil for the past two days, sources said. As the police came to know about them on Thursday evening, they detained them and sent them to Ramban and from there to the holding centre at Hiranagar.
They have been Ameer Hakam, Jaffar Alam, Mohammed Noor, Abul Hasan, Mohammed Alam, Noor Ameen, Noor Hussain, Sayeed Hossain, Mohammed Salim, Mohammed Ismail, Kamal Hussain and Mustafa Hussain,
During questioning, the reveled that they had been staying in Jammu’s Bhatindi and Narwal areas for the past nearly eight years.
