KATHUA, FEBRUARY 7: For implementation of Sansad Khel Spardha in Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha constituency, a nine member steering committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences; Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office; Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space.
The programme is being organized in all the six districts of the Lok Sabha constituency to identify sports talent which may find place at the national and international sports platforms.
Referring to various initiatives like `Khelo India’to identify talent in the multi disciplinary sports at the grassroots level, ingh emphasized on identification of traditional sports of each district like Chinj of Reasi and Archery of Doda.
