JAMMU, DECEMBER 21: In a set back to National Conference, a prominent Kashmiri Pandit leader Anil Dhar on Tuesday quit party in protest against the statement of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah that former J&K Governor Jagmohan was responsible for the migration gif Kashmiri Pandits from their native places in Kashmir.

By holding Jagmohan responsible for their migration, former chief minister Farooq Abdullah is trying to absolve Pakistan of its involvement in ongoing terror activities in Kashmir, said Dhar who also happens to be former Vice President of the NC’s Jammu province.

Pointing out that the National Conference seems to have lost priority to its commitment about welfare of Kashmiri Pandits, he said that going by the statements of Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah over the past one month, the party appears to have become a representative organisation of only the majority community in the UT.

Such type of statements that majority community in Kashmir was in danger increases the wedge between Hindus and Muslims finally bringing the minority community under threat in the valley, he added.
