JAMMU, NOVEMBER 12: A major mishap was averted when an Indian Air Froce’s Chetak helicopter on Friady made a `preventive’ landing at the football ground in Jammu and Kashmir’s Puramandal area of Samba district.

Sources said that there were six people on board the helicopter including Squadron Leader Saradh Kumar. The crew on board the helicopter was on routine patrolling on Udhampur to Mansar stretch when they suspected some technical snag and made the landing.
After checking it, they flew back to their destination, sources said, adding that all the crew members are safe.
