Jammu scientist features in Stanford University’s list of top 2 % scientists of the world

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 6: Dr Mohd Javaid, son of Late Mohd Hussain and Late Rashidan Bibi of village Palli, Dansal near here has been listed among the top 2 per cent scientists in the world, according to a list prepared by Stanford University.

According to a handout, this list has been prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John Ioannidis of Stanford University and published by Elsevier BV.

Around 3,352 researchers from India found a place in the list that represents strong impact of the country on global research platform.

Currently, Dr. Javaid is Assistant Prof in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has completed his Ph. D under the supervision of Prof. Abid Haleem, former Head and senior most professor of the same Department of the University.

Dr. Javaid has published more than 100 papers, which are indexed in Science Journals.

A total of 16 Jamia Millia Islamia professors feature in the list of Stanford University of top 2 per cent scientists with Prof. Abid Haleem ranked at three and Dr Javaid at ten in 2020 performance.
