Mohinder Pal Singh (Palli) is new vice president, Surjeet Singh Andotra general secretary, Aditya Sharma jt secy and Amandeep treasurer

Jammu: Senior advocate M K Bhardwaj was elected president of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association for the third time here on Sunday night defeating his nearest rival Nirmal Kotwal by a margin of 230 votes in the four cornered contest.

Bhardwaj had been president of the Bar Association in 1999-2000 and 2012-14 also.

According to the Returning Officer Surinder Singh that for President Candidate, Senior Advocate Mohinder Kumar Bhardwaj secured 651 votes, K Nirmal Kotwal secured 421votes, Ranjit Singh Secured 217 votes whereas Ashok Sharma secured 123votes and Returning officer declared Sr. Adv MK Bhardwaj as New President of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu.

For Vice President Candidate Mohinder Pal Singh (Palli) secured 540 votes whereas Gurjeet Singh secured 224 votes, Rohit verma secured 269 votes whereas Prem Singh Pawar Secured 321 votes and declared Mohinder Pal Singh (Palli) as Vice President. It is worthwhile to mention here that Mohinder Pal Singh Palli remain President of Young lawyers Association in year 2003 and remained seven years as President Young Lawyers.

For the post of General Secretary Surjeet Singh Andotra secured 563 votes, Amit Gupta Secured 536 votes and Himanshu Sharma secured 310 votes and declared Surjeet Singh Andotra as New General Secretary of Bar Association.

Aditya Sharma secured 711 votes and was elected joint secretary. His nearest rival Atul Sharma secured 699 votes.

According to the Returning Officer that for the post of Treasuer Amandeep Singh secured 806 votes and Sahil Sharma secured 529 votes and declared Amandeep Singh as Treasurer.
