Pulwama: Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed on Friday during an encounter with security forces at Khrew in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The gun fight erupted between them after a joint team of the police and security forces cordoned Danak Mohalla and launched a searches there on the basis of a specific information about the presence of militants.
One of the slain militant has been identified as Musaib Mushtaq. He was reportedly part of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen’s ‘hit squad’ responsible for civilian killings in South Kashmir. Identification of second militant is being ascertained, sources said, adding that searches are in progress in the area.
