Poonch: Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Army in a joint operation on Tuesday arrested two people in Mendhar area of border Poonch district and seized hawala money worth Rs 25,81,500 from them.

Identifying them as Mohammad Shakeel son of Mohammad Munshi of Kanga and Mohammad Alyas son of Noor Mohammad of Kanga Behrooti, police said that the seized money was meant for financing terror activities.
Police have registered an FIR No. 305/2021 under sections 17,18,40 ULAPA /120B IPC at Mendhar Police Station. The investigations in the case are in progress.
