INDIAN ARMY ORGANISED AWARENESS LECTURE ON COVID VACCINATION AND BLACK FUNGUS

Jammu: In consonance with “All of Government” approach to tackle the impact of COVID-19 and Black Fungus, Indian Army conducted an awareness lecture at Govt Middle School, Potha Katera in District Rajouri (J&K).
 
            The awareness lecture focused on addressing the myths associated with Black Fungus. While the local populace is struggling to protect itself from COVID-19, there is another threat being posed by a fungus, of which they need to be made aware. The disease is being detected amongst patients who are recovering or recovered from COVID-19. An interactive session was conducted in which the attendees exchanged their thoughts and were informed about managing the disease. Various medical aspects related to COVID-19 and Black Fungus was explained by Regimental Medical Officer. The officer addressed doubts of local populace about Mucormycosis commonly known as Black Fungus, its symptoms and preventive measures. The lecture was of immense help to the attendees in warding off myths on the pandemic. A total 48 locals participated in the lecture including the principal of G.M.S, Potha Katera.
