Weekend curfew to continue, educational institutions to remain closed till June 15
Jammu: With entire Jammu and Kashmir falling in either in Red or Orange zone for the purposes of Covid containment measures, the UT government ordered the continuation of weekend lockdown across the Union Territory, adding that all the schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions shall remain closed till June 15.
However, barber shops, saloons, liquor shops, outdoor Bazars and indoor malls can open with some restrictions, according to the Covid containment guidelines issued by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam who also happens to be the chairperson of the UT’s State Executive Committee of the Disaster management, Relief Rehabilitation and Recronstructiob Department.
