Admin begins house to house survey to find out COVID-19 positive/suspected cases
Jammu: Joint teams of Health Department, Revenue and Police have begun house to house verification of health status of symptomatic COVID-19 positive/suspected cases across Jammu district.
An order for survey was issued by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer, in view of the recent surge in number of COVID-19 cases and their increase severity.
The mopping up exercise shall be under taken by the concerned district magistrates/chairman of the DDMA’s with effect from May 11 to May 13, he had said, adding that joint teams of concerned line departments shall be constituted by the District Magistrates, preferably using areas/households of responsibility of booth level officers as the verification entity.
The database of households already generated on Swasthyanidhi App or any other survey may be additionally used, apart from the electoral list available with the BLO concerned for household identification, it added.
Pointing out that the verification/mopping-up teams should essential consist of local patwari/revenue official, beat constable, BLO and ANM/ASHA/MPHW of the Health Department. Apart from these, the supporting staff may also be drawn in the from of local teacher, anganwadi worker/anganwadi supervisor etc., it said, adding that councillors of the concerned wards of the urban local bodies and panchayati raj institution members in rural areas should be involved in the conduct of this exercise.
The verification teams would enquire about the general well being of inmates of the household, health status of isolated Covid positive persons, suspected cases, ILI cases and enquiry regarding any other co-morbidities etc.
